Where do I go to link my accounts?
If you are a World of Hyatt elite member (Discoverist, Explorist, Globalist), you can link your accounts on worldofhyatt.com.
If you are an AAdvantage® elite member (Gold, Platinum, Platinum Pro, Executive Platinum and ConciergeKey(SM), you can link your accounts on aa.com.
If you are an elite member in both programs, you only need to link your accounts one time, through either worldofhyatt.com/aa or aa.com.
I’m getting an error message when trying to link accounts. Why is that happening?
A few things could be happening. Please confirm that your first and last names match on both your World of Hyatt and AAdvantage accounts.
If your first name or last name does not match, please send your requested name change information along with a state-issued ID to worldofhyatt@hyatt.com.
I no longer want my accounts linked. How do I unlink them?
Please call the Hyatt Global Contact Center or American Airlines to unlink your accounts. You do not need to call both.

How many World of Hyatt Bonus Points will I earn on American Airlines flights if I’m an elite member in World of Hyatt?
World of Hyatt Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist members will be able to earn one World of Hyatt Bonus Point for every eligible US dollar spent on qualifying American Airlines flights.
How many AAdvantage bonus miles will I earn on Hyatt hotel stays if I’m an elite member in AAdvantage?
AAdvantage Gold, Platinum, Platinum Pro, Executive Platinum and ConciergeKey(SM) members will be able to earn one AAdvantage bonus mile for every eligible US dollar spent on qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences.
How will the Bonus Points or bonus miles I earn show up on my account?
If you have linked your accounts, you will see the Bonus Points you’ve earned from qualifying American Airlines flights in your Past Stay activity within your World of Hyatt account.
If you have linked your accounts, you will see the bonus miles you’ve earned from qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences within your AAdvantage account.
How long will it take for my Bonus Points to show up in my World of Hyatt account?
Please allow up to 7 business days for your Bonus Points to show up in your World of Hyatt account.
I don’t see the Bonus Points/bonus miles in my account, what do I do?
If you do not see Bonus Points in your World of Hyatt account from qualifying American Airlines flights, please call AAdvantage at 800.882.8880.

What is considered an eligible American Airlines flight for earning World of Hyatt Bonus Points?
An eligible flight is any flight marketed by American Airlines and operated by American Airlines or American Eagle® regional carriers. Flights marketed and/or operated by American Airlines’ other partners and/or codeshare partners are not eligible flights. Flights that do not earn AAdvantage® miles are not eligible flights (click here for more information on flights that do and do not earn AAdvantage® miles). Flights that earn AAdvantage® miles based on the distance flown, either due to the type of ticket purchased (such as bulk fares or consolidator fares), or because the ticket/fare details are not available at the time the flight posts to your AAdvantage® account, are not eligible flights. Flights taken prior to linking your AAdvantage® account and World of Hyatt account are not eligible flights.
An eligible fare means the ticket price published by American Airlines, and paid to American Airlines, for an eligible flight, exclusive of any applicable taxes, fees, surcharges or ancillary products.
What happens if I stay at a Hyatt hotel but choose to earn another airline’s miles for my stay?
If you choose to earn miles in any other airline program besides American Airlines for your stay, you will not earn AAdvantage bonus miles. If you choose to earn AAdvantage miles for your stay, you will earn one bonus mile per eligible US dollar spent on your qualifying Hyatt stay.
Will flights that I complete prior to linking my accounts count toward earning World of Hyatt Bonus Points?
No, you must link your World of Hyatt and AAdvantage accounts and be an elite member in World of Hyatt prior to earning World of Hyatt Bonus Points for qualifying American Airlines flights.
Will Hyatt hotel stays that I complete prior to linking accounts count toward achieving AAdvantage bonus miles?
No, you must link your World of Hyatt and AAdvantage accounts and be an elite AAdvantage member prior to earning bonus miles for your qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences.
Do the World of Hyatt Bonus Points count toward achieving World of Hyatt elite status?
No, World of Hyatt Bonus Points earned for qualifying American Airlines flights do not count towards elite status in World of Hyatt. That said, if you are an Explorist or Globalist member, you will have the opportunity to earn higher elite status in AAdvantage® at an accelerated rate through limited-time elite status offers.
Do the AAdvantage bonus miles count toward earning AAdvantage elite status?
No, AAdvantage bonus miles earned for qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences do not count towards AAdvantage elite status. That said, if you are Platinum, Platinum Pro or Executive Platinum, you will have the opportunity to earn higher elite status in World of Hyatt at an accelerated rate through limited-time elite status offers.
If I’m an AAdvantage elite member, will I earn AAdvantage bonus miles for on-property spend added to my Hyatt folio, like spend on dining, spa, or other incidentals during my stay?
You will earn one AAdvantage bonus mile for every eligible dollar spent on qualifying Hyatt stays and experiences. A majority of incidentals added to your Hyatt folio are considered eligible spend, but please reference the World of Hyatt World of Hyatt program terms for complete details.
If I’m an elite World of Hyatt member, will I earn World of Hyatt Bonus Points for checked baggage or in-flight purchases during my flight?
No, checked baggage and in-flight purchases do not qualify as eligible spend. Click here to learn more.
Who is eligible for elite status offers?
AAdvantage Platinum, Platinum Pro and Executive Platinum members may have opportunities to participate in elite status offers in World of Hyatt.
Members at the Explorist elite status level and above in World of Hyatt may have opportunities to participate in elite status offers in AAdvantage.These elite status offers will not, however, allow AAdvantage members to re-achieve the same elite status level they held in AAdvantage at the time of registration in these offers.
How long do I have to participate in these limited-time elite status offers?
The offers will be provided on an ongoing basis throughout American Airlines and Hyatt’s relationship. Each offer will have its own registration period.
