1. How many Bahia Principe properties will begin participating in World of Hyatt?
On March 24, 2026, 22 Bahia Principe properties will begin participating in World of Hyatt. World of Hyatt members who check out of a qualifying stay at a participating property on or after March 24th are eligible to earn and enjoy in-hotel benefits. (Any stay at a Bahia Principe property before it starts participating, with a checkout date prior to March 24th, is not eligible to earn World of Hyatt Program credit.) Members may also redeem points for certain rewards available at these properties once they begin participating in World of Hyatt.
2. I made a reservation for a stay at a participating Bahia Principe property with a checkout date after the property started to participate in World of Hyatt. How do I earn World of Hyatt points and Tier-Qualifying Night credits for this stay?
To earn World of Hyatt points and Tier-Qualifying Nights once a property participates in World of Hyatt, you must:
- Be a member of World of Hyatt, or join prior to your checkout
- Be a registered guest staying at the participating property and associate your World of Hyatt membership number with the reservation (when reserving, at the time of check-in or by requesting retroactive credit). (See below for details on requesting retroactive credit within one year of your eligible stay.)
- Pay an Eligible Rate (see the World of Hyatt terms for details on Eligible Rates)
- Complete your stay

1. Will Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts participate in the Brand Explorer Award?
Yes, Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts will participate in the Brand Explorer Award. Members can earn towards the Brand Explorer Award for a qualifying stay at a Bahia Principe property after it begins participating in World of Hyatt. (Stays at a property with a checkout date before it started participating in World of Hyatt will not count for the Brand Explorer Award.)
In order for a stay to qualify to earn credit towards a Brand Explorer Award, it must be at a participating property and have a checkout date on or after the date that property begins participating in World of Hyatt. The Member must also have paid an Eligible Rate or redeemed a Free Night Award.
2. Will I be able to earn World of Hyatt points for on-property spend at participating Bahia Principe properties, such as room upgrades and elevated dining experiences?
No, World of Hyatt members will only be able to earn points for eligible room rate when staying at participating Bahia Principe properties.
3. Can I earn World of Hyatt points, Tier-Qualifying Night Credit and in-hotel benefits for stays at participating Bahia Principe properties before the applicable property begins participating in World of Hyatt?
No, World of Hyatt program credit or benefits of any kind—including, without limitation, points, Tier-Qualifying Night credit, in-hotel benefits or credit toward the Brand Explorer Award—will not be awarded for any stay with a checkout date prior to when a property begins participating in World of Hyatt.
4. I checked out of a stay at a participating property on or after the date the property began participating in World of Hyatt but didn’t receive my points or Tier-Qualifying Night Credit. How can I get points for my stay and ensure I get credit toward tier status?
To receive World of Hyatt points for eligible spend on a past stay at a participating property with a checkout date on or after the property begins participating in World of Hyatt, you can contact the Global Care Center at +1 800 544 9288 or +1 402 593 8615 within one year of your checkout date.
5. What happens if I booked a stay at a Bahia Principe property through Bahia-principe.com prior to that property’s integration into World of Hyatt, but where the stay has a check-in date on or after the property joined World of Hyatt?
The rate booked will be honored and is eligible for World of Hyatt program credit/benefits if the Member associates their World of Hyatt membership number with the reservation. 1. What can I redeem my points for at participating Bahia Principe properties?
Members can redeem points for Standard Room Free Night Awards once a Bahia Principe property begins to participate in World of Hyatt. (See the World of Hyatt terms for details.)
2. Can I redeem points for dining, spa or incidentals on property at participating outlets at these properties?
No, members will not have the ability to redeem points for dining, spa or incidental charges at participating Bahia Principe properties.
3. Can I redeem Points + Cash at participating Bahia Principe properties?
No
4. Will these properties be part of the standard All-Inclusive Free Night Award chart (Cat A-F)?
Participating Bahia Principe properties will all be categorized in the standard All-Inclusive Free Night Award chart (Cat A-F).
5. Where do I find a list of properties and how many points each requires for a Free Night Award?
A property’s category will be able to be found on the property’s page on Hyatt.com or in the Hyatt app and in the booking flow.
6. What Milestone Reward options do participating Bahia Principe properties participate in?
