These terms and conditions (“Mr & Mrs Smith Terms”) govern participation in the World of Hyatt program by participating properties in the Mr & Mrs Smith collection of hotels and resorts (“Mr & Mrs Smith”) and the benefits available to World of Hyatt Members at Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties (defined below). These Mr & Mrs Smith Terms are part of the World of Hyatt Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) that govern the World of Hyatt program (“Program”). By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by the Terms, including these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms.
Capitalized terms used but not defined in these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Terms. In the event of a conflict between these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms and the rest of the Terms, these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms shall govern with regard to Mr & Mrs Smith collection properties. Certain items, however, are only addressed in the Terms, and, unless directly contradicted in these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms, the Terms shall also apply to the Members at Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties.
To the extent that a Point Property (i.e., a property operating under a Hyatt brand, such as Alila) is listed on a Mr & Mrs Smith Booking Channel (defined below), it is not considered a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property (defined below) and its participation is not subject to these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms. Its participation in the World of Hyatt Program (if any) remains subject to the main World of Hyatt Program Terms.
As used throughout these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms, the terms “Hyatt,” “our,” “we,” “us,” and other similar terms may refer to one or more of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Hyatt Corporation, Hyatt International Corporation, Select Hotels Group, LLC, and one or more of their direct or indirect subsidiaries or affiliates. These particular terms are used for convenience only and are not intended as a precise designation of any one particular entity.
PARTICIPATING MR & MRS SMITH PROPERTIES
PLEASE NOTE: Not all properties that are part of the Mr & Mrs Smith collection participate in the Program. The term “Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties” shall refer to any hotel or resort that is part of the Mr & Mrs Smith collection and that can be booked directly through Hyatt’s website, mobile app, or call centers (“Hyatt Booking Channels”).
Notwithstanding the foregoing and unless otherwise expressly indicated by Hyatt in writing, the Hyatt Booking channels DO NOT include:
(a) MrandMrsSmith.com, the Mr & Mrs Smith mobile app, or any other booking channel offered or operated by Smith Global Ltd (collectively, the “Mr & Mrs Smith Booking Channels”);
(b) Apple Vacations, FunJet Vacations, Travel Impressions, Cheap Caribbean, Beachbound, Southwest Vacations, Blue Sky Tours Hawaii, United Vacations, nor any other entity operated by Apple Leisure Group as part of its ALG Vacations business line.
No rate published on any such channel will be deemed an Eligible Rate for purposes of the Program or these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms.
Not all properties in the Mr & Mrs Smith collection participate in the Program. “Excluded Mr & Mrs Smith Properties” means any property that is part of the Mr & Mrs Smith collection but is not available for booking through Hyatt Booking Channels – even if bookable through the Mr & Mrs Smith Booking Channels. Excluded Mr & Mrs Smith Properties do not participate in the Program. Members are not entitled to earn or redeem World of Hyatt points or enjoy any other World of Hyatt benefits at any Excluded Mr & Mrs Smith Property, and the Excluded Mr & Mrs Smith Properties shall not participate in any aspect of World of Hyatt except as expressly stated, if at all, in these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms or other applicable terms and conditions.
Please note that certain requirements and restrictions (e.g., minimum length of stay requirements, minimum advance booking dates, etc.) and/or special cancellation, deposit, and other policies may apply at Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
To earn or redeem World of Hyatt points or enjoy any other World of Hyatt benefits at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property (collectively, “Mr & Mrs Smith Benefits”), you must be a World of Hyatt Member in good standing and book your stay at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property through a Hyatt Booking Channel. Stays at Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties are not eligible for Mr & Mrs Smith Benefits if they are booked through Mr & Mrs Smith Booking Channels, directly with hotels listed on Mr & Mrs Smith Booking Channels, or through any other means or channels except Hyatt Booking Channels (even if stays at Hyatt hotels booked through such other means or channels might qualify for World of Hyatt benefits).
EARNING WORLD OF HYATT POINTS & TIER-QUALIFYING NIGHT CREDITS AT PARTICIPATING MR & MRS SMITH PROPERTIES
A Member will earn one (1) credit for a Tier-Qualifying Night in the Program for every night that the Member (i) stays at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property; (ii) books the stay through a Hyatt Booking Channel, (iii) either pays an Eligible Rate or redeems a Free Night Award; and (iv) associates their valid World of Hyatt Program membership number with the reservation at the time of reservation (each an “Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Night”). Please note that a Member cannot associate their World of Hyatt Program membership number with a reservation during their stay at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property or by contacting Mr & Mrs Smith or the property directly.
Members will also earn five (5) Base Points for each whole U.S. dollar or U.S. dollar equivalent paid for an Eligible Rate on an Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Night (“Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Spend”). Members will not earn points on any spend at any Mr & Mrs Smith collection property that is not Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Spend. Without limiting the preceding sentence, no charges at any Mr & Mrs Smith collection property, or any venue or outlet associated with such property, will qualify as an Eligible Incidental Charge or Eligible Non-Stay Charge for purposes of the Program nor will any meeting or event hosted at any Mr & Mrs Smith collection property count as a Qualifying Event for purposes of the Program. In addition, no Mr & Mrs Smith collection property participates in World of Hyatt Program earning opportunities for travel advisors (whether under the Travel Advisor Terms or the Hyatt Privé or Hyatt Leverage programs), and no travel advisor will earn any Tier-Qualifying Night credit or other Program benefit based on Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Spend.
Only the Member directly associated with the Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Spend will earn Program credit for such activity. Points for a single reservation may not be shared by more than one Member. A Member may earn points on Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Spend they pay for up to three (3) rooms per night (Member’s room and two (2) additional rooms) within the same Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property. (The Member must be a registered guest and occupy at least one of the rooms. The Member will earn Base Points for Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Spend on each of the room rates, but the Member will only earn Tier-Qualifying Night credits for the one (1) room they actually occupy.
Members cannot opt to earn benefits with any third party (such as Partner Loyalty Points with a participating airline or other point substitutes) as a result of Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Spend in lieu of World of Hyatt points.
Members who have obtained an elite tier in the Program and are entitled to earn Bonus Points on qualifying purchases will earn those bonuses on the Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Spend. Such bonuses will be awarded as Bonus Points.
Please allow up to fifteen (15) business days after your qualifying activity for points and Tier-Qualifying Night credits to be credited to your World of Hyatt account. Members who were not properly credited for any points or Tier-Qualifying Night(s) earned in connection with a stay at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property may request an adjustment within one (1) year of the check-out date of the applicable stay by contacting World of Hyatt customer service. Changes made to a stay after check-in for that stay may not be made through Hyatt Booking Channels. Please note that, should a Member extend a stay at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property during their stay, the Member may not receive World of Hyatt points or Tier-Qualifying Night credit for any night beyond the original reservation. In some instances (such as shortened stays, no-shows, and late cancellations), points and Tier-Qualifying Night credits may be removed the Member’s account.
Mr & Mrs Smith is considered a Hyatt brand for purposes of earning the Brand Explorer Free Night Award and an Eligible Mr & Mrs Smith Night stayed at any Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property will count towards earning this award.
REDEEMING WORLD OF HYATT POINTS FOR FREE NIGHT AWARDS AT PARTICIPATING MR & MRS SMITH PROPERTIES
World of Hyatt points can be redeemed for a Free Night Award at any Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property, subject to availability at the applicable property. The number of points necessary to secure a Free Night Award for a particular room type at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property on a particular night will be as indicated on the Hyatt Booking Channels and will include all applicable taxes and fees (including resort fees, if applicable).
The number of points required to redeem a Free Night Award at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property may depend on the number of guests that will occupy the room and Members are responsible for accurately identifying the total number of guests when making a reservation. Failure to accurately identify the correct number of guests when making a reservation may result in the Member having their reservation cancelled. Free Night Awards at Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties may only be booked in the name of the Member making the reservation and are not eligible to be gifted.
Awards redeemed for accommodations at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property are subject to the reservation requirements of the individual Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property at which Member is redeeming an award, including such property’s cancellation policy. If a Member cancels an Award Reservation at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property in compliance with the applicable property’s cancellation policy, any corresponding points that have been deducted from the Member’s account will be returned to the account. If a Member does not follow the proper cancellation policy for the applicable property or if a Member does not check in when scheduled, the points redeemed for the applicable Award Reservation will be forfeited by the Member. (Such points may be temporarily returned to the Member’s account, but will be subsequently deducted again to reflect the forfeiture.)
No other Program award may be redeemed at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property unless otherwise specified by Hyatt in other terms and conditions applicable to a particular award. Without limiting the foregoing, the following types of award are not redeemable at any Mr & Mrs Smith Property: Free Night Awards other than those secured through the redemption of points, Points + Cash Awards, any kind of Room Upgrade Award (whether secured by point redemption or otherwise), Guest of Honor Awards, Dining, Spa & More Awards, or Future Meeting Credits. (No Program award of any kind may be redeemed at an Excluded Mr & Mrs Smith Property.)
NO IN-HOTEL BENEFITS FOR WORLD OF HYATT MEMBERS STAYING AT PARTICIPATING MR & MRS SMITH PROPERTIES
Please also note that the In-hotel Benefits provided to Members when they stay at a Hyatt hotel or resort are not provided to Members staying at Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties, except that a Globalist Member staying at a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property will receive a room upgrade where available at check-in. (Please note that the Globalist benefit of a waived resort, destination or facility fee when paying an Eligible Rate is not valid at Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Properties.)
NO OTHER WORLD OF HYATT CONNECTION
Except as expressly set forth in these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms or in separately posted terms and conditions, Members are entitled to no other reward, benefit, right, experience, or other aspect of their World of Hyatt membership and may not redeem any other type of award in connection with activities or other engagement with Mr & Mrs Smith or a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property. For example, Members are not entitled to receive complimentary bottled water, late check-out, guaranteed availability, free parking, club lounge access, waived resort, destination or facility fees, Guest of Honor privileges, or any other Program benefit not specified herein. Unless otherwise noted in these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms or in separately posted terms and conditions, Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Locations are not Point Properties and are not considered a “Hyatt hotel or resort” under the Terms – including for purposes of earning Bonus Points through use of a World of Hyatt Credit Card.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We are always striving to make the Program benefits better and – because they are evolving over time – we may change or discontinue all or any part of the benefits, at any time and without notice, at our discretion as described in the Terms. (This may include, without limitation, complete discontinuance of participation in the Program by properties in the Mr & Mrs Smith collection or individual properties ceasing to participate as a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property.) Any such discontinuation or termination may impact the availability of Program benefits for stays with a check-out date after the effective date of such change, even if booked before the announcement of the change.
As also described in the Terms, we may modify these Mr & Mrs Smith Terms from time-to-time. Hyatt will notify you of changes to the Mr & Mrs Smith Terms by posting them on the World of Hyatt site and may also notify you by email or mail to the address then associated with your Program account. The updated Mr & Mrs Smith Terms will be effective as of the time of posting, or upon such later date as specified by Hyatt. Unless otherwise stated, the updated Mr & Mrs Smith Terms will apply to your participation in the Program beginning as of their effective date. These Mr & Mrs Smith Terms may only be modified in accordance with this section.
