How do World of Hyatt elite members receive the $20 CAD Air Canada Flight Credit?
World of Hyatt Discoverists, Explorists, and Globalists will receive a $20 CAD Air Canada Flight Credit upon account linking or upon achievement of elite status after linking, and for each subsequent calendar year for which they are both an elite member and have their account linked. This Flight Credit can be found within your Aeroplan benefits portal on web or app. Each Air Canada Flight Credit is non-cumulative and only redeemable against the purchase of a new Air Canada flight through an Air Canada booking channel. Air Canada Flight Credits are transferable to another person, but not combinable with any other promotional code or coupon, flight credit, or voucher. For full terms and conditions of use of Air Canada Flight Credits, please click here.
I linked my accounts, but did not receive the Air Canada Flight Credit. What should I do?
It is important to note that only World of Hyatt elite members with linked accounts are eligible to receive the Air Canada Flight Credit. If you cannot locate the credit within your Aeroplan benefits portal, please contact Aeroplan Customer Care.
Can I convert points between World of Hyatt and Aeroplan?
Linked Aeroplan Elite Status members can convert Aeroplan points to World of Hyatt points at a ratio of 2 to 1, with a minimum of 500 Aeroplan points at a time, up to 100,000 Aeroplan points per day or 250,000 Aeroplan points per week. All World of Hyatt members can convert World of Hyatt points to Aeroplan points at a ratio of 2 to 1, with a minimum of 5,000 World of Hyatt points at a time in accordance with the World of Hyatt terms and conditions.
What redemption options are available?
Linked members can redeem Aeroplan points for a Category 1-4 World of Hyatt Free Night Award, or Category 1-7 World of Hyatt Free Night Award, and 50,000 World of Hyatt points for a 30,000-Aeroplan point Flight Reward Certificate.
What do I need to know about using a Flight Reward Certificate once I redeem one?
If you use a Flight Reward Certificate for a flight worth fewer points than the certificate’s value, the unused points will be forfeited once travel begins. However, if you change or upgrade your itinerary before travel, the remaining points can be applied to the new booking. If your flight costs more than the certificate’s value, you must pay the difference in points. Flight Reward Certificates cannot be combined with other discounts, including Priority Reward vouchers. While certificates cannot be transferred to another account, you can use yours to book a flight for someone else. For full terms and conditions, click here.
Can I earn Aeroplan points when staying at Hyatt hotels?
You can earn 500 Aeroplan points per eligible stay at participating Hyatt properties if you choose to earn Aeroplan points in lieu of World of Hyatt points, as defined here. To receive Aeroplan points, you must request them at or prior to checkout and provide your Aeroplan number.
How do I de-link my accounts, and can I re-link them later?
