These terms and conditions (“Hyatt-AAdvantage Terms”) govern the ability of World of Hyatt program (“Program”) members who are also members of the American Airlines AAdvantage® program (“AAdvantage®”) to enjoy additional benefits and participate in additional opportunities in the AAdvantage® and Program promotion (collectively, the “Promotion”). These Hyatt-AAdvantage® Terms are part of the World of Hyatt Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) that govern the Program. By participating in the Program and this Promotion, you agree to be bound by the Terms, including these Hyatt-AAdvantage® Terms and American Airlines’ terms and conditions relating to this Promotion to the extent applicable.
Capitalized terms used but not defined in these Hyatt-AAdvantage® Terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Terms. In the event of a conflict between these Hyatt-AAdvantage® Terms and the Terms, these Hyatt-AAdvantage® Terms shall govern. Participation in AAdvantage® is subject to the AAdvantage® terms and conditions .
As used throughout these Hyatt-AAdvantage® Terms, the terms “Hyatt,” “our,” “we,” “us,” and other similar terms may refer to one or more of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Hyatt Corporation, Hyatt International Corporation, Select Hotels Group, LLC, and one or more of their direct or indirect subsidiaries or affiliates. These particular terms and used for convenience only and are not intended as a precise designation of any one particular entity. Such terms do not include American Airlines.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT – LINK ACCOUNTS
To participate in the Promotion, you must (i) be a member in good standing of both the Program and AAdvantage®, (ii) have elite status in the Program or AAdvantage®, and (iii) have linked your Program and AAdvantage® accounts. (If you are not already an AAdvantage® member, you can enroll at aa.com .)
o If you have Discoverist status (or higher) in the Program, you can link your accounts on worldofhyatt.com.
o If you have AAdvantage® Gold elite status (or higher), you can link your accounts from your AAdvantage® account page on aa.com
- If you have elite status in both the Program and AAdvantage®, you can link your accounts through either of the methods described above (but you do not need to link your accounts from both).
- Once linked, your accounts will remain linked even if you cease to have elite status in the Program, AAdvantage®, or both (subject to Hyatt’s and American Airlines’ rights to discontinue the Promotion or otherwise unlink your accounts in their discretion as discussed below).
The name on your Program account and your AAdvantage® account must match in order for you to take part in the Promotion. If you need to change your name on your World of Hyatt account, please contact World of Hyatt (email@example.com). Only one AAdvantage® account may be linked to your Program account. You only need to link your accounts once (unless you subsequently request that your accounts be unlinked as described below).
Promotion benefits are only available to members of the Program and AAdvantage® after their respective accounts have been linked and will not be granted retroactively for any activity that occurs before account linking.
As a member of both World of Hyatt and AAdvantage®, you may be contacted with information about promotions offered by Hyatt and/or American Airlines, including promotions for which you have registered and promotions for which you have not registered. You can manage your World of Hyatt email preferences from your World of Hyatt account page, and you can manage your AAdvantage® email preferences from your AAdvantage® account page.
Hyatt is not responsible for American Airlines’ use of your information, including information about you that Hyatt provides to American Airlines.
If you would, at any point, like to unlink your accounts, please contact a Hyatt Global Contact Center for assistance. Once you unlink your accounts, you will no longer be able to participate in this Promotion.
EARNING WORLD OF HYATT BONUS POINTS AND AADVANTAGE® BONUS MILES THROUGH THE PROMOTION
After linking their Program account with their AAdvantage® account, Members with elite status in either or both of the Program and AAdvantage® can earn World of Hyatt Bonus Points and AAdvantage® Bonus Miles in the accounts of their respective rewards program in the following ways:
(a) Earning World of Hyatt Bonus Points on Eligible American Airlines Flights
World of Hyatt Members with elite status (Discoverist or higher) who are also members of AAdvantage® and have linked their accounts can earn one (1) World of Hyatt Bonus Point for every U.S. Dollar spent on eligible fares for an eligible flight on American Airlines, in addition to any miles in the AAdvantage® program that the member is eligible to earn under the AAdvantage® program terms.

(b) Earning Bonus Miles in the AAdvantage® Program on Qualifying Hyatt Transactions
World of Hyatt Members who are also AAdvantage® members with elite status (Gold or higher) and linked their accounts can earn one (1) AAdvantage® bonus mile for every U.S. Dollar spent at a Qualifying Hyatt Property (defined below) on (a) an Eligible Rate, (b) Eligible Incidental Spend, (c) Eligible Non-Stay Charges, (d) Eligible FIND Revenue, (e) Eligible Exhale Spend, (f) M life-Eligible Spend, (g) Eligible SLH Spend or (h) Qualifying Lindblad Expeditions Spend – all as defined in the Program terms (collectively, “Eligible AAdvantage® Promotion Spend”). AAdvantage® bonus miles can only be earned for Eligible AAdvantage® Promotion Spend where the Member has elected to earn points in the World of Hyatt Program in connection with such spend or AAdvantage® miles for a qualifying stay at a Qualifying Hyatt Property (and not where the Member elected to earn any other Partner Loyalty Points or other credit in a third-party program, as otherwise permitted in lieu of earning Program points).
Not all properties that participate in the World of Hyatt Program participate in this Promotion. Eligible AAdvantage® Promotion Spend may only be incurred on Eligible AAdvantage® Promotion Spend at or in connection with the following Hyatt properties (collectively, the “Qualifying Hyatt Properties”): Andaz, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt, Hyatt Centric, Caption by Hyatt, Hyatt House, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Zilara, Hyatt Ziva, Park Hyatt, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Hyatt Residence Club, Thompson Hotels, Joie de Vivre (excluding those locations not participating in World of Hyatt), Alila (excluding those locations not participating in World of Hyatt), Destination (both participating Destination Hotels and participating Destination Residences locations (as defined in the Terms)), and Miraval hotels and resorts, participating Exhale locations, Exhale on Demand, and FIND experiences. In addition, for purposes of the Hyatt-AAdvantage® Terms only, participating UrCove properties, M life Rewards Destinations, Participating SLH Properties, and Eligible Lindblad Expeditions (all as defined in the Program Terms) shall be considered Qualifying Hyatt Properties. The Qualifying Hyatt Properties are subject to change at any time in Hyatt’s sole discretion.
Only Eligible AAdvantage® Promotion Spend incurred both (a) after the Member has linked his or her Program and AAdvantage® accounts as described above and (b) while the Member has achieved the minimum required tier status will count towards the Promotion. If you believe that you did not receive the correct number of AAdvantage® miles for your activity with Hyatt, please contact Hyatt to request retroactive credit within one (1) year of checkout for the qualifying stay or completion of the qualifying experience/activity, as applicable. If you believe that you did not receive the correct number of World of Hyatt points for your activity with American Airlines, please contact AAdvantage® customer service .
World of Hyatt points and/or AAdvantage® miles may be removed from your accounts if awarded in error or if, as a result of an adjustment to a transaction, the member was entitled to fewer points or miles under this promotion.
AAdvantage® ConciergeKey(SM) members will receive World of Hyatt Globalist status after linking their AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt Program accounts, as instructed above. If an AAdvantage® member ceases to have ConciergeKey(SM) status at any time, the matched World of Hyatt status may be adjusted in Hyatt’s sole discretion.
Certain elite members of World of Hyatt and elite members of AAdvantage may be invited to participate in elite status offers by completing qualifying activity. Such offers, qualifying activity, and all applicable terms and conditions will be disclosed at the time offers are extended.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Hyatt or American Airlines may, at any time and without notice, modify, discontinue or terminate this Promotion, these Hyatt-AAdvantage® Terms or any other terms and conditions specific to this Promotion. Hyatt will notify you of changes to these Hyatt-AAdvantage® Terms by posting them on the World of Hyatt website and may also notify you by email or mail to the address then associated with your Program account. Any updated terms will be effective as of the time of posting, or upon such later date as specified by Hyatt. Unless otherwise stated, the updated terms will apply to your participation in the Promotion beginning as of their effective date. These Hyatt-AAdvantage® Terms may only be modified in accordance with this section.
