These terms and conditions (“SLH Terms”) govern participation in the World of Hyatt program by participating properties affiliated with Small Luxury Hotels of the World Limited (“SLH”) and the benefits available to World of Hyatt Members at Participating SLH Properties (defined below). These SLH Terms are part of the World of Hyatt Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) that govern the World of Hyatt program (“Program”). By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by the Terms, including these SLH Terms.
Capitalized terms used but not defined in these SLH Terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Terms. In the event of a conflict between these SLH Terms and the rest of the Terms, these SLH Terms shall govern with regard to SLH properties. Certain items, however, are only addressed in the Terms, and, unless directly contradicted in these SLH Terms, the Terms shall also apply to the Members at Participating SLH Properties.
As used throughout these SLH Terms, the terms “Hyatt,” “our,” “we,” “us,” and other similar terms may refer to one or more of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Hyatt Corporation, Hyatt International Corporation, Select Hotels Group, LLC, and one or more of their direct or indirect subsidiaries or affiliates. These particular terms are used for convenience only and are not intended as a precise designation of any one particular entity. Such terms do not include SLH.
PARTICIPATING SLH PROPERTIES
PLEASE NOTE: Not all properties that are affiliated with SLH participate in the Program. These SLH Terms shall only apply to Participating SLH Properties. The term “Participating SLH Properties” shall refer to any hotel or resort that is affiliated with SLH and that can be booked directly with Hyatt through Hyatt’s website, mobile app, or call centers (“Hyatt Booking Channels”). “Excluded SLH Properties” means any SLH property that is affiliated with SLH, but is not available for booking through Hyatt Booking Channels. Excluded SLH Properties do not participate in the Program. Members are not entitled to earn or redeem World of Hyatt points or enjoy any other World of Hyatt benefits at any Excluded SLH Property, and the Excluded SLH Properties shall not participate in any aspect of World of Hyatt except as expressly stated, if at all, in these SLH Terms or other applicable terms and conditions. Please note that certain requirements and restrictions (e.g., minimum length of stay requirements, minimum advance booking dates, etc.) and/or special cancellation, deposit, and other policies may apply at Participating SLH Properties at certain times. To earn or redeem World of Hyatt points or enjoy any other World of Hyatt benefits at a Participating SLH Property (collectively, “SLH Benefits”), you must be a World of Hyatt Member in good standing and book your stay at a Participating SLH Property through Hyatt Booking Channels. Only World of Hyatt Members may book stays at Participating SLH Properties through Hyatt Booking Channels. Stays at Participating SLH Properties booked through any means or channels other than Hyatt Booking Channels are not eligible for SLH Benefits (even if stays at Hyatt hotels booked through such other means or channels might qualify for World of Hyatt benefits).
EARNING WORLD OF HYATT POINTS & TIER-QUALIFYING NIGHTS AT PARTICIPATING SLH PROPERTIES
A Member will earn one (1) credit for a Tier-Qualifying Night in the Program for every night that the Member (i) stays at a Participating SLH Property; (ii) books the stay through a Hyatt Booking Channel, (iii) either pays an Eligible Rate or redeems a Free Night Award; and (iv) associates his or her valid Program membership number with the reservation at the time of reservation (each an “Eligible SLH Night”).
Members will also earn five (5) Base Points for each whole U.S. dollar or U.S. dollar equivalent paid for an Eligible Rate during his or her stay at a Participating SLH Property (“Eligible SLH Spend”). Members will not earn points on any spend that is not Eligible SLH Spend. Without limiting the preceding sentence, no charges at any SLH property, or any venue or outlet associated with such property, will qualify as Eligible Incidental Charges or Eligible Non-Stay Charges for purposes of the Program nor will any meeting or event hosted at any SLH property count as a Qualifying Event for purposes of the Program.
A Member must associate his or her Program membership number with the applicable reservation (at the time of reservation) to receive SLH Benefits in connection with Eligible SLH Spend; only the Member directly associated with the Eligible SLH Spend will earn Program credit for such activity. Points for a single reservation may not be shared by more than one Member. A Member may earn points on Eligible SLH Spend (s)he pays for up to three (3) rooms per night (Member’s room and two (2) additional rooms) within the same Participating SLH Property. (The Member must be a registered guest and occupy at least one of the rooms. The Member will earn Base Points for Eligible SLH Spend on each of the room rates, but the Member will only earn Tier-Qualifying Nights for the one (1) room (s)he actually occupies.)
Members cannot opt to earn benefits with any third party (such as Partner Loyalty Points with a participating airline, M life Rewards Tier Credits with MGM’s M life Rewards program, or other point substitutes) as a result of Eligible SLH Spend in lieu of World of Hyatt points.
Members who have obtained an elite tier in the Program and are entitled to earn Bonus Points on qualifying purchases will earn those bonuses on the Eligible SLH Spend. Such bonuses will be awarded as Bonus Points.
Please allow up to fifteen (15) business days after your qualifying activity for points and Tier-Qualifying Nights to be credited to your World of Hyatt account. Members who were not properly credited for any points or Tier-Qualifying Night(s) earned in connection with a stay at a Participating SLH Property may request an adjustment within one (1) year of the check-out date of the applicable stay by contacting World of Hyatt customer service. Please note that should a Member shorten or extend a stay during that stay at a Participating SLH Property, it may take six (6) weeks or more to ensure that the correct number of points and Tier-Qualifying Night credits for that stay are in the Member’s account. Changes made to a stay during a stay may not be made through Hyatt Booking Channels. In some instances (such as shortened stays, no-shows, and late cancellations), points and Tier-Qualifying Night credits may be removed the Member’s account.
REDEEMING WORLD OF HYATT AWARDS AT PARTICIPATING SLH PROPERTIES
Only the Program awards expressly identified below may be redeemed at Participating SLH Properties. Redemption of these awards at Participating SLH Properties is subject to the terms applicable to each type of award, except as expressly modified in these SLH Terms.
(a) Standard-Room Free Night Awards. Please note that at some Participating SLH Properties, standard-room inventory available for Free Night Awards may be limited, but there are no black-out dates at Participating SLH Properties.
(b) 5-Brand Free Night Awards. 5-Brand Free Night Awards may be redeemed at Participating SLH Properties that otherwise meet the redemption requirements for these awards. However, SLH is not considered a Hyatt brand for purposes of earning the 5-Brand Free Night Award and stays at any Participating SLH Property will not count towards earning this award.
(c) Category 1-4 & Category 1-7 Free Night Awards. Free Night Awards designated as redeemable at a Category 1-4 or Category 1-7 hotel or resort may be redeemed at Participating SLH Properties that meet the redemption requirements for the applicable award. Free Night Awards redeemable at a Category 1-4 hotel or resort are those described in Appendix B to the Program Terms and as otherwise provided by the Program or Hyatt (such as anniversary Free Night Awards issued in connection with the Hyatt Credit Card). Free Night Awards redeemable at a Category 1-7 hotel or resort are those described in Appendix B to the Program Terms and as otherwise provided by the Program or Hyatt (such as Category 1-7 Free Night Awards issued in connection with the Hyatt Credit Card). Please note that some Participating SLH Properties may be excluded from the categorization system applied to Hyatt hotels and resorts under the Program or may be classified in a category other than 1-4 or 1-7.
Unless otherwise noted, Free Night Awards redeemed at a Participating SLH Property are valid for up to two (2) adults. A fee may be charged by the Participating SLH Property for additional guests. Free Night Awards that are redeemable at Participating SLH Properties are eligible to be gifted to another person by the redeeming Member, as described in Appendix B of the Terms.
No other Program award may be redeemed at a Participating SLH Property unless otherwise specified by Hyatt in other terms and conditions applicable to a particular award. Without limiting the foregoing, the following types of award are not redeemable at any SLH Property: Points + Cash Awards, Club Free Night Awards, any kind of Room Upgrade Award (whether secured by point redemption or otherwise), Dining, Spa & More Awards, or Future Meeting Credits. No Program award may be redeemed at any Excluded SLH Property.
If a Participating SLH Property charges a resort fee or taxes, such fee and taxes will be waived for Members redeeming Free Night Awards unless prohibited by law. Please note that the Globalist benefit of a waived resort, destination or facility fee when paying an Eligible Rate is not valid at Participating SLH Properties.
BENEFITS FOR WORLD OF HYATT MEMBERS STAYING AT PARTICIPATING SLH PROPERTIES
When spending an Eligible SLH Night at a Participating SLH Property, Members will receive certain in-hotel benefits as specified here. Those benefits are subject to change and an updated list of the benefits will be posted on that site. Certain benefits may only be available to a specified number of guests and may be available for additional guests for an additional fee (e.g., complimentary continental breakfast is only for two (2) guests and is available for a fee for additional guests).
Please note Members who book a stay at a Participating SLH Property through Hyatt Booking Channels are not eligible for benefits of SLH’s Invited loyalty program.
Please also note that the In-hotel Benefits provided to Members when they stay at a Hyatt hotel or resort are not provided to Members staying at Participating SLH Properties. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, and as noted above, please note that the Globalist benefit of a waived resort, destination or facility fee when paying an Eligible Rate is not valid at Participating SLH Properties.
NO OTHER WORLD OF HYATT CONNECTION
Except as expressly set forth in these SLH Terms or in separately posted terms and conditions, Members are entitled to no other reward, benefit, right, experience, or other aspect of their World of Hyatt membership and may not redeem any other type of award in connection with activities or other engagement with SLH or a Participating SLH Property. For example, Members are not entitled to receive bottled water, late check-out, guaranteed availability, free parking, club lounge access, waived resort, destination or facility fees (on award or paid nights), Guest of Honor privileges, or any other Program benefit not specified herein. Unless otherwise noted in these SLH Terms or in separately posted terms and conditions, Participating SLH Locations are not Point Properties and are not considered a “Hyatt hotel or resort” under the Terms.
NOT PART OF HYATT'S BEST RATE GUARANTEE
SLH properties, including both Participating SLH Properties and Excluded SLH Properties, are not subject to Hyatt's Best Rate Guarantee.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We are always striving to make the Program benefits better and – because they are evolving over time – we may change or discontinue all or any part of the benefits, at any time and without notice, at our discretion as described in the Terms. (This may include, without limitation, complete discontinuance of SLH’s participation in the Program.) As also described in the Terms, we may modify these SLH Terms from time-to-time. Hyatt will notify you of changes to the SLH Terms by posting them on the World of Hyatt site and may also notify you by email or mail to the address then associated with your Program account. The updated SLH Terms will be effective as of the time of posting, or upon such later date as specified by Hyatt. Unless otherwise stated, the updated SLH Terms will apply to your participation in the Program beginning as of their effective date. These SLH Terms may only be modified in accordance with this section.
