TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR WORLD OF HYATT - AEROPLAN PROGRAM RELATIONSHIP

These terms and conditions (“Hyatt-Aeroplan Terms”) govern the ability of World of Hyatt Program Members who are also members of Air Canada’s Aeroplan rewards program (“Aeroplan”) to enjoy additional benefits and participate in additional opportunities in the Program (“Relationship”). These Hyatt-Aeroplan Terms are part of the World of Hyatt Program Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) that govern the Program. By participating in the Program and any part of this Relationship, you agree to be bound by the Terms, including these Hyatt-Aeroplan Terms.

Capitalized terms used but not defined in these Hyatt-Aeroplan Terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Terms. In the event of a conflict between these Hyatt-Aeroplan Terms and the Terms, these Hyatt-Aeroplan Terms will govern with regard to the Relationship. Participation in the Aeroplan program is subject to Aeroplan’s own terms and conditions.

As used throughout these Hyatt-Aeroplan Terms, the terms “Hyatt,” “our,” “we,” “us,” and other similar terms may refer to one or more of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Hyatt Corporation, Hyatt International Corporation, Select Hotels Group, LLC, and one or more of their direct or indirect subsidiaries or affiliates. These terms are used for convenience only and are not intended as a precise designation of any one particular entity. Such terms do not include Aeroplan or Air Canada.

Benefits Available without Linking Accounts

Members of the Program who are also members of Aeroplan can convert World of Hyatt points into Aeroplan points. Point conversion is as described in Section III of Appendix A to the Terms, except that Members may convert World of Hyatt points to Aeroplan points at a ratio of 2:1. A minimum of 5,000 World of Hyatt points is required for each conversion request and additional point conversions thereafter may be made in 1,000-point increments. Converted points are subject to the Aeroplan program terms, including the Aeroplan Program General Terms and Conditions. As described below, many opportunities and benefits of the Relationship require a Member to link their World of Hyatt and Aeroplan accounts, but account-linking is not required for a Member to convert World of Hyatt points into Aeroplan points.

Linking Accounts

To participate in other benefits of this Relationship, a Member must first link their World of Hyatt Program account with their Aeroplan account. The name on your World of Hyatt Program account must match that on your Aeroplan account. To link accounts, please go here.

Only one Aeroplan account may be linked to your Program account. You only need to link your accounts once, unless you subsequently request that your accounts be de-linked or if your Aeroplan account is closed for any reason. If you have previously linked your accounts and would like to request that they be de-linked, please contact a Hyatt Global Care Center.. If you choose to de-link your accounts, you will no longer be able to participate in this Relationship. If you wish to re-link your accounts, Aeroplan and Hyatt each reserve the right to institute a waiting period of at least 30 days before you can re-link your accounts.

Benefits Available Once Accounts are Linked

Once a Member has successfully linked their World of Hyatt and Aeroplan accounts, they can participate in additional Relationship benefits (subject to eligibility):

(a) $20 Air Canada Flight Credit

Upon linking their accounts, Members who have Discoverist, Explorist, Globalist, or Lifetime Globalist status at the time of account linking, or who receive Discoverist, Explorist, Globalist, or Lifetime Globalist status while a linked Member, will receive a twenty Canadian Dollar ($20 CAD) Air Canada Flight Credit, redeemable towards the booking of a new flight ticket through Air Canada. Eligible elite Members who link their accounts will receive this credit (or – if they achieve elite status after linking – will receive this credit following achievement of such status) and will then receive an additional credit annually during each year that they maintain both (1) a qualifying elite status tier in the Program and (2) the link between their Program and Aeroplan accounts. Maximum one credit per calendar year. Credit will be delivered to the Member via email and must be applied at the time of booking. (b) Discoverist Status & Annual Tier-Qualifying Night Credits for Primary Account Holders of Certain Aeroplan Credit Cards

When an Aeroplan member links their account to their World of Hyatt account and the Aeroplan member is the primary cardholder (in good standing) of an eligible Aeroplan credit card, that Aeroplan member will receive Discoverist status in the World of Hyatt Program for so long as they remain a holder of the applicable Aeroplan credit card (and a World of Hyatt Program Member) in good standing. Only certain Aeroplan-branded credit cards offer this benefit through the Relationship. Details regarding which Aeroplan-branded credit cards qualify for this benefit can be found at aircanada.com/hyatt. If the Member already has or later earns status higher than Discoverist, that elevated tier will supersede the Discoverist status granted under this Relationship benefit for so long as the Member maintains the elevated tier status. This benefit is available only to the primary Aeroplan cardholder and not additional named cardholders with charging privileges on the named primary cardholder’s account.

The Member will also receive credit for five (5) Tier-Qualifying Nights both (1) upon account linking or opening of the qualifying Aeroplan credit card (whichever occurs last) and (2) at or around the beginning of each calendar year thereafter for so long as the Member maintains a qualifying Aeroplan credit card account in good standing.

Members may be offered the opportunity to redeem World of Hyatt points for awards usable with Aeroplan. Details regarding any such redemption opportunities, including the number of points required, the Aeroplan award to be claimed and any terms/restrictions applicable thereto, and any eligibility restrictions for redemption, will be as set forth here.

(d) Additional Earning Opportunities

Members who have linked their accounts may be eligible to participate in additional opportunities (if offered) to earn elite status or earn points in the World of Hyatt Program and/or Aeroplan. The terms of any such offer – including eligibility, registration requirements, qualifying actions, and details regarding the status to be achieved or other benefit received – will all be as disclosed at the time the offer is made.

Earning by Aeroplan Credit Cardholders on Eligible Spend: Purchases That Do Not Qualify as Being Made at a “Hyatt Hotel or Resort”

Aeroplan credit cardholders who are also Members and have linked their Aeroplan and World of Hyatt accounts may be offered the opportunity to earn World of Hyatt Bonus Points on purchases made directly with participating Hyatt hotels and resorts. In addition, certain Aeroplan credit cardholders may be eligible to earn additional Aeroplan points based on eligible spend made at a participating Hyatt hotel or resort.

For purposes of these benefits, none of the following will qualify as a purchase made at a Hyatt hotel or resort (also sometimes referred to as a “Hyatt property”) participating in the World of Hyatt Program:

Purchases made at restaurants and shops that are located at a participating World of Hyatt hotel or resort, but that are not operated by the hotel/resort
Purchases made at any property that does not participate in the World of Hyatt Program, including as described in the Program Terms
Purchases made via Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt
Purchases made at hotels and resorts available through Mr & Mrs Smith, even if such hotel or resort is a Participating Mr & Mrs Smith Property, as defined in the World of Hyatt Mr & Mrs Smith Terms.
Loan payments associated with Hyatt Vacation Club ownership
Purchases, fees, and other payments associated with Unlimited Vacation Club

General Terms and Conditions

Hyatt or Aeroplan may, at any time and without notice, modify, discontinue, or terminate this Relationship, these Hyatt-Aeroplan Terms or any other terms and conditions specific to this Relationship. Hyatt will notify you of changes to these Hyatt-Aeroplan Terms by posting them on the Hyatt website and may also (in its discretion) notify you by email or mail to the address then associated with your Program account. Any updated terms will be effective as of the time of posting, or upon such later date as specified by Hyatt. Unless otherwise stated, the updated terms will apply to your participation in the Relationship beginning as of their effective date. These Hyatt-Aeroplan Terms may only be modified in accordance with this section.

Hyatt is not responsible for Aeroplan or Air Canada’s policies relating thereto, Aeroplan’s conduct with respect to any promotions, your transactions with Aeroplan or Air Canada, Aeroplan or Air Canada’s marketing activities, or Aeroplan or Air Canada’s use of your information.
